TK1 - Summer Camps

Hi folks! Two quick announcements. First, our Summer Camps are now officially enrolling!! This year we have four one-week camps, with each capped at a max of 8 campers to ensure maximum fun. This year, support from the Public Education Department has made all our camps 100% FREE. We’re hugely grateful for that!

Secondly, we’re now enrolling for our brand-new set of out-of-school time programs, Tech Wednesdays. Two programs run every Weds from 1:15 - 3:00pm, specifically for Taos Charter students age 10+ -- eSports and Livestreaming. Transportation from Taos Charter is free and available. More info and registration here.

We’re excited to welcome both new and current students to our Tech Wednesday after-school programs, beginning this Wednesday!

For students enrolled in the eSports and Livestreaming program (1:15–3:00PM), transportation is available from TCS to TK1 with notice if you did not request transportation when registering. If you’ve requested transportation during registration, please note that the transportation form included in the student intake packet must be signed and submitted no later than Tuesday midday—no exceptions. Pickup will take place by the flagpole in front of TCS, where a TK1 staff member will be stationed near a white Suburban SUV from 12:45–1:00PM. If your student will be absent or does not require transportation on a given day, please notify us that morning.

From 3:00-5:00pm-ish we'll feature two hands-on programs, Video Game Design and our Master the Machine hardware class, for which youth must be 12+.

The student intake packet is attached to this email. All families must complete and return it prior to Wednesday's program, even if transportation is not needed. A hard copy can be picked up at our office if needed.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

As always, these programs are 100% free and begin on Wednesday, March 25. And… see the flyer below for our next big event: Home. More on that next time!

Enjoy this super weird warm weather, and see you soon!!
