The Taos Kids Races in the Park will be held again on Monday May 20th at Kit Carson Park.

Race Schedule is as follows:

9:00 am: Kindergarten and 1st Grade combined ( at least 2 teachers per school must run with kids in this race only.

9:15 am: 2nd Grade

9:30 am: 3rd Grade

9:45 am: 4th Grade

10:00 am: 5th Grade

10:15 am: 6th Grade

10:30 am: 7th and 8th Grades combined

Distance: 1100 meters ( slightly longer than a 1 Kilometer)

Spectators are welcome!

All TCS students will particiapte along with Taos Day School. Please make sure your student has appropriate footware (no Crocs, open toed shoes), a water bottle, sunblock and or hats.

Cielo Centro Observatory Opening

4–5:30 p.m. Bataan Hall on Civic Plaza Drive

Cielo Centro at UNM-Taos will house the largest operable public telescope in New Mexico, and will include a planetarium, observation deck, auditorium, classroom and weather station.

Dear Students who will be in 8th - 12th grade next school year!

Taos High School is excited with the possibility of adding a Springboard Diving team (boys and girls) in the Fall of 2024. We are doing a survey to find out how many students are interested in joining the team. If you want to learn how to do 6 different tricks from a 1 meter springboard and compete at High School Swim and Dive meets, please email:

This will get your name on the" interested list" and you can learn more about what the practice and competition schedule would look like. This is a great opportunity for gymnasts, dancers, and other students, grades 8-12 interested in learning a new sport. We will schedule a summer meeting for those interested to learn more and meet Coach Kristie.
