TK1's Tech Weds - for TCS students/parents
True Kids 1 (TK1) has created a new set of after-school programs designed specifically for youth age 10+ at Taos Charter School on Wednesdays.
Led by TK1 instructors, we'll offer two programs from 1:15 - 3:00pm -- eSports, where we'll provide laptops and instruction to guide youth through a collaborative Minecraft experience, and Livestreaming, where we'll lead students through the basics: how to make YouTube and Twitch accounts, what type of content to feature; and how to generate content safely and smartly. There are two additional technology classes from 3:00-6:00pm (Video Game Design and our Master the Machine hardware class), for which youth must be 12+.

This program is 100% free. If there is sufficient interest, TK1 will provide free transportation for up to 12 students on a first-come, first-served basis from Taos Charter to our facility (just north of Albertsons). We provide free snacks and meals, and will have 2 instructors and 1-2 TAs (likely THS seniors) at each class.
This program begins on Wednesday, March 25. It will run every Wednesday, with the last class on May 27, 2026 for a total of 10 days of programs.
Student intake paperwork is required. This can be sent electronically or picked at our HQ.
