Summer Opportunities for Taos Kids!

Hi, awesome Taos education and community leaders! I am writing to share a few upcoming events and opportunities that Field Institute of Taos is involved in this spring and summer in hopes that you will share in turn with your families and school communities. Our goal is that every kid in Taos has a fun, safe, engaged, and active summer! Flyers for each event or summer program are attached to this email for your convenience as well. Thanks in advance for helping spread the word.

If I can be of help or answer any questions about these programs, please do not hesitate to reach out! With thanks for our continued partnership, E

Field Institute of Taos Summer Camps - We have an array of hiking, biking, and place-based learning camps this spring and summer, with five weeks of free programming at Taos Land Trust and a scholarship commitment to in-need families that no one is turned away for lack of funds. Families can scan the QR code to get a full schedule or can view the summer schedule and register directly on our website at https://www.fitaos.org

Taos Education Collaborative Summer Camps - TEC is now fiscally sponsored by FITaos and we could not be more excited for this new partnership! TEC will be offering their free community-led summer camps at three sites this summer, with dates in June at Ranchos del Taos and Arroyos del Norte Elementary Schools and a July camp hels at Enos Garcia Elementary School. Camps are open to all Taos County students, regardless of what school they currently attend, and are completely free for kids and families thanks to our very generous and committed donors! I am attaching a copy of the application form for families that need a hard copy. Families can also scan the QR code on the flyer or go to our website at https://taosedcollab.org

Taos Kid's Crawl! A first-ever event showcasing activities and organizations serving Taos kids from 12 noon to 4 pm on Saturday, April 25th aqui en Taos. The fun starts at Twirl and continues throughout our downtown area, ending with fun and games with FITaos in Red Willow Park and free movies at the TCA. Come on out and bring your friends and families!
