Back to school update from the Nurse
Although there is no official "Infestation" there have been many obvious cases of lice reported between parents and students here at local Taos schools.
Please check your children daily, as lice have a 50-day life cycle. See information attached and prepare accordingly. If lice are identified at home, please keep your child home until the first treatment is completed. They may return after that. If identified at school, parents will be notified and they will remain at school unless there is an infestation. Nurse Betsy is available for questions. Thank you for your cooperation.
Also, there are simple essential oil blends you can prepare for prophylactic treatments.
To remain in overnight and washed out with shampoo in the morning:
10 drops Rosemary oil
10 drops Geranium oil
10 drops Lavender Oil
Add 3 teaspoons vegetable glycerin or castor oil, 6 teaspoons melted shea butter, shake well. This will provide for 3-6+ treatments.
